Hi blog, welcome back!
Now that soon I’m going to start making my magazine I think it’s best if I had an idea of what it should look like. So I’m going to choose pictures that best my match what I want in each part of the magazine. I will also be explaining why I think the images would fit into my magazine.
Cover:
So
for cover the I wanted to go for a theme of bubbles all throughout the magazine. To me these bubbles represents reflection, which is how one perceives themselves rather than what others think. I wanted to represent your own self not someone else. So for the cover my featured person would be blowing blows which ties in with the table of contents.
Table of contents:
Since I’m going with the theme of bubbles. The numbers of each topic will be inside a bubble and the important or “star” articles will have a bubble in the shape of a star. I want there to be multiple other original pictures that coincide with the theme of the article.
Double page spread:
Now for the double page spread the main picture will be my featured person in front of a mirror. So in this mirror is where the writing will be, to me this means that she reflects what the article is. The article is about my featured person, her experience with makeup and skincare and how it reflects who she is. So this image will bleed on the next page but it will fade so that there could be writing. On the other side the article would be in the middle and around it would be different images. Like the images above are some inspiration of what they could be about. The captions of the images will be bubbles to make the theme of bubbles be visible in all pages.
